FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

When can I start?
You can start any time providing there is availability. Monthly fees are pro-rated to reflect the remaining classes in the current month tuition. 

How do I register?
(Please set up a parent portal on our website) 
Registration is done online through your parent portal

How do I pay my bill?
When registering online, you are automatically enrolled in the automatic payment option until you request to opt out of it.

How do I withdraw my child from a class?
I understand my child is enrolled in a program that has recurring monthly tuition and I am continuously enrolled in the program and I will incur monthly tuition charges on my account until I submit a withdrawal notice with the Gymnastics Learning Center. This notice may be obtained from the Gymnastics Learning Center Office. If you are withdrawing your child, proper notice must be given 2 weeks prior to a payment being due (by the 15th of the month). If you withdraw from a class after the 2-week period (the 15th of the month) you will be responsible for the next payment due. 

Is there credit given for missed classes, camps, clinics, and or private lessons?
No. Please understand that Gymnastics Learning Center does not give, credit, or refunds for, class(es), clinics, camps, private lessons, birthday parties, field trips, that are missed or cancelled due to holiday, vacation, illness or inclement weather. Gymnastics Learning Center does not issue refunds. We do however offer some make-up classes. Please see make-up policy. All sales are final for any product and/or service purchase and/or provided by Gymnastics Learning Center. 

What is the dress code for my child when taking gymnastics lessons?
Girls: Gymnastics leotards are required for all classes (bike shorts are optional). Shoulder length or longer hair must be tied back (non-ornamental).

Boys: Elastic waist shorts and a fitted t-shirt or warm-up.

Bare feet are required for all students. Please be advised that we do not permit the following: oversized shorts, pants or t-shirts, jeans, jewelry, belts, two-piece swimsuits or any other inappropriate clothing. Improper clothing can be a safety hazard to the student as well as the teacher and will result in the student not participating in class.

Gym wear: GLC offers leotards for sale at our Pro-shop.

Lost and Found: GLC is not responsible for lost items. Please check our “lost and found”located in the coat room. Items left for an extended period of time will be donated to charity. 

How will I know if my child is ready to move to a different class?
Your child’s progress is continually tracked by their teachers and your child’s teacher will communicate with you when they have accomplished the skills necessary to be promoted to the next class level. 

If my child is sick or we go on vacation, can my child do a make-up?
If your child misses his/her class due to personal reasons such as illness, vacation or schedule conflict, your child will be entitled to a make-up. In the event of an absence, please call prior to your child’s scheduled class. This notice is required to receive a MAKE-UP TOKEN. Any student who registers for the 2023-2024 Fall program before December 31, 2023 will be allowed FOUR MAKE-UP TOKENS. Any student who registers after January 1, 2024 will be allowed TWO MAKE-UP TOKENS for the remainder of the 2023-2024 Fall program.

GLC will offer make-ups at different times throughout the year. Please understand GLC does its very best to provide these make-ups. However, GLC is not responsible if you are unable to attend the make-ups offered. There are no refunds or credits for missed classes.

THROUGHOUT FEBRUARY AND APRIL VACATIONS .

In addition to the above, we offer an ongoing make-up class for Girls on Saturday beginning in October- Due to less of a demand for Boys make-ups, they  will be added on Saturdays periodically as needed 

What if I have to change the day or time of my child’s class?
If you have to change your child’s class day or time, simply stop by the front desk or call the office @508-792-1551 and we will be happy to move you into any of our open classes.

Are the instructors certified? 
Yes, all of our instructors are certified through USA Gymnastics, which is the sole national governing body for the sport of gymnastics in the United States. The Gymnastics Learning Center coaching staff is required to complete the USA Gymnastics Safety Certification Program, Safe Sport, and are all First Aid and CPR certified. 

Do I have to stay to watch my child?
No, unless your child is not able to use the restroom by themselves. If you are going to leave the facility while your child is in class please make sure we have your cell phone number on file so we have a method to contact you in the event of an emergency. 

How do students get into the competitive program?
Entry into our competitive program is by invitation only. Our recreational teachers keep a sharp eye out for students who demonstrate an aptitude for competitive gymnastics. Does the Gymnastics Learning Center close for any holidays and vacations? 
The Gymnastics Learning Center remains open for all school vacations and most holidays except for Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, our Christmas break, New Years Day and Memorial Day.  

GLC will be closing for our Christmas break on December 25, 2023 through January 1, 2024 (this week is not included in the payment schedule). All classes will resume on January 2, 2024.

What are the hour of operation?

Fall office hours : Monday 9-5, Tuesday 9-6, Wednesdays 9:00 am - 8:30, Thursday 9-5, Friday 3:30-6 and Saturdays 7:30am -12:30pm. Closed on Sundays. 

Summer office hours: Monday through Thursday 7:30-5:00 . Office is closed on Fridays. GLC is closed on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer session.
